After a disappointing loss to the Cardinals, the Falcons regrouped and took on the Hilsborough Hurricanes. Due to technical difficulties, the Falcons arrived to the stadium after the official start of the game. The DFL officials allowed the game to continue, but marked it in the books as a forfeit.
The SE Falcons took to the field and with only 20 minutes of regulaton play, shut the Hurricanes down 16-0. Derrick Vickers made his debut start as the Falcons quarterback and threw both touchdown passes.
The Falcons now know they have what it takes to defeat the Hurricanes and look forward to hosting them on June 4th, 2005. |
